Narayanan Krishna Kumar, fondly known as Nandu is a graduate in Architecture from RV College Of Architecture
(RVCA), Bangalore, who has a flair towards usage of innovative materials and sustainable building practices mainly
instilled during the course of his time at ‘Inspiration’ a sustainable architectural practice based out of Cochin, Kerala
where he learnt various ways of using bamboo as a construction material and combining it with other materials as
composite to further its possibilities.
Nandu is a diplomatic and charismatic leader who believes that a building should not only stand tall but also stand out.
He is known for designs that blend innovation with sustainability (and occasionally a dash of wit), he creates spaces
that inspire, uplift, and sometimes confuse the local pigeons. From futuristic homes that practically clean themselves to
offices where even the plants feel productive, Nandu approaches every project with a blend of creativity and humor.
After all, why shouldn’t architecture be both groundbreaking and fun! With an eye on the future and a foot firmly in the
present (to keep the buildings upright, of course), he is leading the charge toward a world where great design doesn’t
just shape the landscape but also makes it smile.
Under his leadership, the practice has evolved into multiple dimensions over the last decade having successfully
handed over 100+ projects across typologies ranging from residential, commercial, hospitality and institutional.
After his stint at Inspiration and Benny Kuriakose & Associates (BKA), offices that he worked at where his foundational
values have been deeply instilled, before he ventured out on his entrepreneurial journey in the year 2014 founding
Crea Projects, an architecture and interior design studio, along with Dr.Pratheek Sudhakaran. He is a strong advocate
of the narrative that every design initiative is a journey and it is the experience and the process that outweighs the final
product.
